OverviewThe PlotDrone PTY-1 is a bio-crypto-genetic drone: a blending of several species to achieve perfection in one mission. The mission is to maintain contact with the Collective of Unimatrix-1 and reports any anomalies to Unimatrix-1.The cube PTY-1 was operating on came back from a small planet where 2,108,927 living individuals were brought to perfection. PTY-1 was maintaining a perfect cohesion with the local Collective of the Cube and Unimatrix-1: every drone was in state of "feeling" every experience of every Drone... Suddenly, PTY-1 felt emergency... a not every-cycle feeling, the one you experience only under special circumstances: the Cube encounters an unexpected and undefined phenomenon. Information is relevant... A chronometric particle storm is heading in collision course with the Cube... Speed is exponential 18... Attempts avoid maneuvers.... Attempt futile... The more the Cube alter course the more the collision will be until reaching a probability of one... Suddenly, PTY-1 realize its gravity center is becoming unstable... He falls on the floor... and ... slowly, connection with the local Cube Collective is fading until nihil...PTY-1 may only observe: the drone are reacting chaotic: some of them shaking, others are walking in circles without any purpose or endlessly bumping into the same wall.... PTY-1 knows the emergency cells will restore perfection from chaos.... Just a matter of patience.... And so it is. All is returning to normal. Local Collective is up, linked and functional. Immediately, each drone is reporting damage to the Collective... Each drone processor is then immediately working to build a global damage report. 2,107,517 drones are lost... cause: aging failure. These were the newly assimilated drones. They had only nano-probes acting, nothing else... they were not perfect and have suffered an exponential aging process. PTY-1 returns to its duty station and attempts to establish connection with the Collective of Unimatrix-1... But all the attempts are irrelevant... Communication is not possible. Worse, the global reports specify the Cube shields are down to 28% and life system is slowly becoming unstable. reports indicate the Cube will be an unsalvageable debris floating adrift in space after 4,087 cycles. As the Cube cannot receive orders from Unimatrix-1, PTY-1 takes control of the operation as genetically implemented in him. PTY-1 was generically programmed so any connection lost from Unimatrix-1 would not impair the drone's duty and mission. The mission is to collect data and bring these information to Unimatrix-1 by all means available. Collect data.... Connection to Astro-Metric... position ....(unknown)... Course... (unknown)... Establish a perimeter scan of the Cube's position and search for a planet that could sustain the Drones alive.... (scanning)... Planet found. Change course... adapt speed... destination in 4,218 cycles. When reaching the planet, the cube will not be maneuverable and therefore will crash. Connect to every done and start to build salvage pods... They will be launched in 4,217.9 cycles. Collect all information, duplicate data to each pod, and assign the drones to the pods. 4,218 cycles later, A Borg Cube crashes on a small inhabited planet along with it, 4,218,927 drones... status unknown. Each of the pods salvaging the 5,592,018 drones are heading safely to the planet... 0,1 cycle later, the first pods are landing nearby the crashed Cube... No Collective from the Cube, only the small pod collective is present and re-connecting to each newly landed pods. Reports: 218 bio-crypto-genetic drones functional and 5,591,800 drones are functional. Mission: Salvage the debris of the Cube in order to create a maintainable environment and a command center. Establish a mining facility, industry facility and some energy generators. Purpose: return to Unimatrix-1 to report the chronometric anomaly. PTY-1 is the only qualified drone to fulfill this task. Your MissionCollect the debris of the cube and establish a colony on that new world. Repatriate all the drones to Unimatrix-1.In order to achieve the mission, you will have to colonize and/or conquer this quadrant, establish contact with any species if possible, conquer the others... eliminate any obstacles, ... The more time spent the more the drones will recover their original imperfection (more than 200 different original species) and the harder it will be to maintain order and to achieve the mission... But on the other hand, the less perfect you will be, the more diplomatic contact (including technology exchange, and trade) you will achieve.... |
